Charleston Band of Brothers is committed to helping people. One of the newer ways we are moving in this direction is through offering Spiritual Direction. On all of our experiential trips we offer times of Spiritual Direction, but we realize this need goes beyond a one-time experience.
We all need to process the deep things in our lives with someone who:
- has spiritual authority
- is outside of the system in which you work
- is trained to listen, advise, and care for the soul.
We advise all our participants to seek out this needed and life giving resource.
Our platform: A safe environment where you can explore, confess, and heal. A relationship that is bathed in prayer for your personal development. People need a place outside of their church and their families where they can be fully vulnerable and be guided by mature Christians who understand their unique challenges.
How to access: Please contact US and we will set up a free introduction appointment with you and one of our advisors. In this initial appointment you will discuss your desires and goals and Charleston Band of Brothers will help you understand the process and mange expectations.
Spiritual Advisor: The Rev. Peter A. Mitchell. Peter Mitchell has served in ordained Christian ministry for 27 years in South Carolina, Virginia and Washington DC. In small and large congregations, church plants, and ministries of healing and spiritual direction, Peter’s pastoral gifts build up the Body of Christ. He makes a home with his wife of 33 years, Amy Butler, in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, where they are raising four teenagers.
Cost: After the first appointment you then can sign up for a 6 sessions agreement for $350. Generally meeting once every two weeks. After the initial 6 weeks you and the Spiritual Advisor will discuss moving to a once-a-month, long term relationship.
